Last year the opioid epidemic took the lives of 471 Granite Staters.
This is a crisis that cuts across geographic and demographic lines and leaves families and communities devastated. There is no more urgent issue in New Hampshire.
While serving on the Executive Council, I pushed for and helped implement Medicaid expansion to provide addiction treatment for thousands of our friends, neighbors, and family members. I've fought for prevention and recovery services and to get these drugs off our streets.
We need to do more to prevent opioid overdose deaths in our communities. Today I'm hoping you will take a stand with me.
