Hello John,
I am emailing you today to ask if you can help me with something. Right now, a garden centre in Kent has two reindeer as part of their festive displays. And I believe these reindeer are suffering.
Hawley Garden Centre has two reindeer there RIGHT NOW and these individuals will be exposed to droves of Christmas shoppers and young children who flock there at this time of year.
John, will you contact the garden centre today and ask them to end their use of reindeer? ([link removed]) And ask them to commit to animal-free festivities next year?
Animals shouldn't suffer for human entertainment!
TAKE ACTION! ([link removed])
With garden centres being one of the venues allowed to stay open under lockdown restrictions, sadly many have reindeer on display to entertain shoppers.
Reindeer that are used in Christmas displays and events – regardless of how friendly or ‘domesticated’ they are – continue to be stressed and unsettled by travel. Many spend hours on the road as they are moved from venue to venue. The unfamiliar locations of each event, the loud noises and bright lights, all add to the fear experienced by these animals.
Our campaign against this cruel industry fights to free reindeer and other animals from being put on display in small pens in garden centres, pubs and shopping malls, all of which are highly unsuitable places for these wonderful animals.
But I need your help to free these animals! Please contact the Hawley Garden Centre today and protect other animals from a Christmas of suffering. ([link removed])
For the animals,

P.S. Take action now to demand Hawley Garden Centre end their use of live animals in festive events! ([link removed])
