Friends – yesterday, my campaign set a goal of raising $40,000 by Sunday. But, as of early this morning, we're still about $23,970 short. 

I can't emphasize enough how crucial it is to hit our fundraising goals down the stretch. My opponents are gearing up to defeat me at all costs, and I'll need the support of folks like you to fight back and win on Oct. 12.  

Fortunately, a group of generous donors has offered to match every gift from now until midnight tomorrow. Even still, with just a day to go, I'm worried we won't hit our goal.
