For months you asked peers to amend the Trade Bill to protect our NHS and make sure parliament can scrutinise trade deals. WE WON! The House of Lords has passed both amendments! 

But our work is not yet done. We must NOW ramp up the pressure on MPs to make sure they vote to keep those amendments in the Bill. 

Can you email your MP right now and ask them to take our Scrutiny Pledge?

Two weeks ago we asked you to email your MP and ask them to sign the pledge. Whether you emailed them then or not, please click the link and email them now.

As a result of your emails two weeks ago, a cross-party group of MPs, including Conservatives, SNP, Labour and LibDems, from right accross the United Kingdom, have already taken the pledge. But we don't have enough yet. To win in the Commons we need over 300 of them to take the pledge.

Wherever you live in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland), please take 2 minutes to write to your MP and ask them to take the Scrutiny Pledge to vote to give MPs the power to scrutinise trade deals and protect the NHS. 

The vote on keeping the scrutiny amendment in the Bill in the House of Commons is going to be very tight and every email sent to an MP will make a huge difference. 

The NHS means so much to our families and communities, and it has saved us enormously during this pandemic. We must continue to fight to protect our NHS from trade deals by giving MPs the power to scrutinise trade deals.
