Today, members of the Electoral College from all 50 states and the District of Columbia will formally cast their ballots for President and Vice President. The ballots will then be sent to Washington and be certified by Congress on January 6. President-Elect Joe Biden will then be inaugurated as the 46th President on January 20 at noon.

Connecticut's seven presidential electors will cast our state's votes for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. You can watch the process live on CT-N starting at 12 p.m. EST today.

Biden is expected to deliver an address live after the Electoral College formally elects him later today. The speech will be broadcast from his Facebook page here.

As we follow this process laid out by our Constitution, I am looking forward to seeing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris formally elected as we aim to bring our country together, fight the coronavirus pandemic and bring relief for working families and communities.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but with Biden and Harris at the helm, I know we will be on the right path forward.

Jim
