As another year of this disastrous Trump presidency—thankfully, our last—draws to a close, I'm once again heartened by the resilience of our Sierra Club community.

These last four years have been every bit as awful as we predicted—in some ways, even worse, as Trump found even more insidious ways to exploit our public lands and natural resources than we could have imagined—but we never stopped fighting for the planet we love.

Now, here's the catch. We can't stop fighting. Not yet.

The cold, hard truth is that Donald Trump still has until January 20th to wreak havoc. He's scrambling to push through dozens more environmental rollbacks, from initiating oil and gas leasing in the Arctic Refuge to ending protections for migratory birds, among other horrors.

Even as we move quickly to block Trump's various, nefarious end-runs, we're also working alongside our coalition partners to advance a bold agenda for Biden and Congress: Restoring protections for our air and water. Creating clean-economy jobs. Addressing environmental injustices that disproportionately harm communities of color, low-income communities, and indigenous communities. Oh, and fixing our democracy. And that’s just to start.
