On this day in 1799, George Washington dies at his estate in Mount Vernon, Virginia. He was 67 years old. In today's Daily Torch we have a piece written under the pseudonym Robert Munroe, the first patriot killed at Lexington. Munroe writes about mourning the death of the United States.
