After we heard through the grapevine that Mayor Pete was being considered for the top foreign policy role, President-elect Joe Biden announced his UN Ambassador appointment. But plenty of other positions are still on the table.
Buttigieg has been a stalwart champion for Biden on the campaign trail, stumping for the president-elect at rallies and even going onto Fox News to spar with Republicans on their own turf. As POLITICO reports, these efforts now mean that “Buttigieg has some chips to cash in with Biden.”
