Hello Everyone,
This has certainly been a year of unprecedented change. Though we are still very much in the thick of figuring out what the future will look like, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you for your support and connection--whether we met years ago, during the campaign or since founding Columbus Stand Up!--you are the fuel behind everything we are doing here in Columbus to provide resources directly to those in need and build a community that is politically engaged.
To that end, I wanted to invite you to a year-end check in this Wednesday to review what we’ve been up to since founding Columbus Stand Up! in August, and what we are planning for the beginning of next year. We would love to get your feedback on our plans. Feel free to invite friends, come with questions, or even just join and say hi using this ZOOM LINK. Add it to your calendars for December 16th at 6:00PM ET.
As a preview, here is a quick summary of our impact:
Finally, this has been a hard week here in Columbus. A young man, Casey Goodson, Jr. was shot and killed by a Franklin County Deputy Sheriff while entering his home. The investigation is still in its early stages, but we are trying to bring attention to the case and support the family as they seek accountability. Please follow along on social media #justiceforcaseygoodson to ensure the public narrative stays firmly consistent with the facts.
Talk soon,
Morgan
