A statewide election is a race for resources -- and right now, Greg Abbott is blowing us out of the water.

His campaign is already raising money hand over fist for his re-election bid in 2022 and if we don’t pick up the pace, we’re going to fall behind. And the truth is, the Democratic nominee will not stand a chance without early money from groups like ours.

It’s challenging to draw attention to a race that’s two years away -- especially when the battle for control of the Senate is still on in Georgia.

But Greg Abbott has been one of the worst governors in the country when it comes to stepping up and managing the coronavirus. On his watch, he’s allowed tens of thousands of Texans to die while refusing to acknowledge the severity of the virus or listen to the scientific experts.

We’re not going to let him get away with it -- we’re going to hold him accountable every day between now and Election Day in 2022.
