John,
Dirty energy is at it again. The politicians who enable Big Oil & Gas are trying to sneak energy policies into a must-pass spending bill meant to keep the government open.
If they get their way, your tax dollars will subsidize fossil fuels and other dirty energy projects. They’ll keep us locked into more fracking, pipelines, power plants, and dirty plastics. Big Oil & Gas corporations never miss a chance to take advantage of the American people, but Food & Water Watch is here to stop them.
We’re fighting to stop this policy before it gets tangled up in the spending bill. Food & Water Watch and over 300 organizations have sent a letter to Congress demanding any dirty energy policy be removed, but Congress also needs to hear from YOU. With enough public pressure, we can convince Congress to keep Big Oil & Gas giveaways out of the spending bill and focus more on providing COVID relief to families.
Send a message to your Members of Congress now asking to remove any and all dirty energy policies from the spending bill.

Dirty energy companies are pushing to grab taxpayer handouts for false climate solutions like carbon capture and storage. But to stop climate chaos, we need to take on Big Oil & Gas by stopping the expansion of fossil fuels and move toward 100 percent clean renewable energy. We can let them steal taxpayer subsidies away from families that need support during the pandemic.

With the incoming administration, we have a real chance to push for big progress at the federal level to stop new fossil fuel projects, ban extraction on public lands, crackdown on industrial pollution, and promote climate justice for the frontline communities that have been disproportionately burdened by dirty energy.
Let’s start by telling your Members of Congress to oppose dirty energy policies and focus more on providing relief to families.
