We wouldn't ask if this weren't really important, John, but we need your help right now for three big reasons:

1. Tomorrow marks eight years since the most painful day of our lives – the day our children and loved ones were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary.

2. With less than 11 hours left until our deadline, we're still short of our must-hit goal.

3. We know that if we don't reach our goal in time – if we fail to raise what it takes to expand our work – more children's lives may be put at risk.

The only thing that keeps us going is protecting other children from gun violence, and we can't bear to see more tragedies happen and feel like we've failed those families.

That's why we're counting on you to help us reach our goal in time: Will you rush a donation right now to help us protect more children from gun violence next year?

Please rush $10, or as much as you can, to Sandy Hook Promise before our critical midnight deadline. Your tax-deductible gift will determine how much we can do to save precious lives in 2021.

We would turn back time in a moment to have our loved ones back in our arms. There's no moving on after our children and loved ones were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary, only moving forward. We have to dedicate ourselves now to changing what happens to other families – to preventing future tragedies.

As we prepare to face tomorrow, it means the world to know you're doing everything you can to help us honor our loved ones by saving lives.
