"Republicans [...] grip on state legislatures [...] is likely to lead to redistricting and gerrymandering efforts in 2021" --CNBC

Back in 2010, Republicans rode a wave of dark money to huge victories and used their power to draw gerrymandered maps that enabled them to win a majority of elections even when they didn't win the most votes. That's why, in spite of historic Democratic turnout in 2020, they maintained outsized majorities in state legislatures in competitive states.
We're now headed into another redistricting year, and the GOP believes these map-manipulated victories give them a mandate to draw more maps that give them the power to obstruct the Biden-Harris administration.
Here at the NDRC, we're ready to put up a fight -- but we need your help. Will you become a monthly sustainer of our work to fight for a fair redistricting process in 2021? Our monthly donors receive fewer fundraising emails and help us plan for the fight ahead.

The NDRC is the only Democratic organization focused exclusively on fighting for fair districts. Since we've launched in 2017, we've helped win huge victories to flip governors' mansions and state legislatures, all of which have placed Democrats in a far better position than we were in ten years ago.
But we won't sugarcoat this, friend. The GOP still holds significant power over map drawing. That's why we plan to build an army of grassroots supporters who will hold our leaders accountable and demand a fair redistricting process.
We only have one chance to get this right -- whatever maps are drawn in 2021 can remain in place for another ten years. We need all hands on deck to fight against gerrymandering across the country. Will you stand with us in our fight for free and fair elections by becoming a monthly donor today?
