Dear John,

Earlier this year, NIAC Chicago and the entire NIAC family welcomed the summer solstice with a day of poetry and lively discussion. Since then, thanks to your generosity and support, our community has achieved many big wins.

To round out 2020 on a bright note, on Sunday, December 20 at 7pm CT NIAC Chicago welcomes our entire NIAC family from across the country to “gather” for a virtual Yalda, the ancient Winter Solstice celebration of Iranian culture.

Yalda will be a little different this year with a global pandemic, so please join us to continue celebrating this night of music, poetry, and pomegranates with loved ones--and learn how to make a special Yalda cocktail and a Yalda dinner recipe. We will also discuss the meaning and cross-cultural roots of Yalda with Lake Forest College’s Professor Ahmad Sadri.

So make sure to RSVP today! All are welcome, even if you don't live in Illinois. Hope to see you there!
