Friend,
Early voting begins on Monday in Georgia’s two critical U.S. Senate runoff elections.
We’re organizing volunteers and powering our allies on the ground to ensure that marginalized communities and communities of color turnout in record numbers to win Georgia’s two Senate seats and flip the U.S. Senate blue.
The importance of these races cannot be overstated. Our entire legislative agenda for the next two years is on the line.
Right now, Mitch McConnell is blocking further COVID relief for people, families and communities as we head into the most dangerous months of the pandemic―with more than 3,000 people dying each day.
Throughout this pandemic, Black communities and communities of color have been hit especially hard―from the health impacts of this deadly virus to the pandemic-caused economic recession. That’s why it’s so important that Black and Latinx voters turn out in record numbers and show the strength of our progressive movement.
Donate today to our allies at Mijente PAC and our campaign, as we work with the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights (GLAHR) Action Network to reach communities of color between now and Election Day on January 5th.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately, split evenly between Mijente PAC and Rashida:
We can’t expect voters to turn out if they don’t hear from us directly and regularly. That’s why Mijente PAC and GLAHR Action Network began their organizing of Latinx residents in Georgia in support of Stacey Abrams campaign for Governor in 2018. And since then, they’ve expanded their reach and political power, working with Black-led groups in Georgia as well.
Black and brown communities were critical in electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris last month, in Georgia and across the country. It’s time to show that strength again on January 5th.
With early voting starting on Monday, can you make a donation to Mijente PAC and our campaign to continue our critical voter outreach efforts, win both Senate runoff elections, and flip the U.S. Senate blue?
Even before the pandemic, my community and Black and brown communities across the country were struggling. We can’t wait any longer for the change we need and deserve. And we can deliver that change if we can win in Georgia in less than four weeks.
Right now, Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are both polling ahead of their incumbent Republican opponents. But we cannot rest. We saw too many races last month where Democrats were polling ahead only to lose on Election Day.
Pitch in to Mijente PAC and our campaign today to turn out marginalized communities and communities of color between now and January 5th.
Thank you for all that you do to fight for our shared progressive agenda.
In solidarity,
Rashida
