We need to STOP the Trump Administration's Cruel New Social Security Rule!

During the past four years, the Trump Administration has taken great pains to try and hobble Social Security, implement harsh policy changes and cut the benefits that millions of Americans rely on for a secure retirement.
From President Trump's payroll tax cut executive order and his threat to "terminate" Social Security's main source of funding to his latest attack which would make it harder for Americans to qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits, it's clear the Trump Administration remains committed to weakening Social Security and hurting workers and retirees.
Last weekend the Social Security Administration proposed yet another new rule that would prevent as many as 500,000 Americans from receiving benefits. According to Senator Ron Wyden (OR), this rule "would weaken the promise of Social Security for Americans struggling with disability." And this callous attack couldn't come at a worse time for millions of vulnerable Americans who have been devastated by the coronavirus pandemic, both physically and financially.
The National Committee along with our allies have worked hard over the past year to stop new rules that would hurt older workers in particular from getting implemented. But if this mean rule is able to slip through in the final days of the Trump Administration then the incoming Biden Administration and newly elected and re-elected members of Congress must act quickly in the new year to reverse it!
