Dear John,

There’s a lot of news we’re following this week from the Congressional COVID relief package (outrageous lawmakers are debating liability shields for corporations and not paid leave) to the state-sanctioned execution of Brandon Bernard. We’re also noting high-ranking Republicans including Congressman Tom Emmer who signed an amicus brief attempting to invalidate President-elect Biden’s Electoral College votes – this is not normal.

That said, we’re keeping the news digest lighter for you this week. Wishing a safe and happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate.
