This is a longer email, but it’s important that you know that Donald Trump and Republican attorneys general are still trying to steal this election.

I am standing up with Democratic attorneys general to preserve our democracy. Yesterday, I filed a legal brief, along with 22 other states, to stop Texas from this last-minute attempt to throw out millions of lawful votes.

Attorneys general are the front lines of defense against continued Republican efforts to interfere in the outcome of this election.

It may take years to dismantle the legacy of President Trump and his illegal attempts to manipulate our laws, but I am committed to protecting our democracy — no matter what.

My campaigns have always relied on grassroots support from people like you and today is the last day I can ask for your assistance until next spring.

In Washington state we have a law that requires a mandatory “freeze” on all fundraising for statewide elected officials starting midnight tonight and lasting as long as the legislature is in session. That means I can’t raise a single dollar until the session ends. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I am the only statewide official who refuses to accept campaign contributions from large corporations, which makes your grassroots support of $5, $10, and $15 that much more critical — especially now that the freeze is about to take effect at midnight tonight.

Can you chip in $20 before the fundraising freeze starts at midnight? This is the last time we will be able to fundraise for months and we hope to raise $25,000 to reach our pre-freeze goal for the end of the year.*
