Donald Trump’s claims of fraud are dangerous. Here’s why:

Dear John,

A month has passed since voters turned out in record numbers to cast their ballots in the 2020 presidential election. And Donald Trump is still trying to reject the will of the people.

The Electoral College will certify Biden’s win on Monday, and Trump will continue to spread baseless election fraud claims and try to undermine the legitimacy of our votes. While easy to dismiss, his actions set a dangerous precedent for future candidates to follow, dissuading people from trusting the democratic process as a whole.

We have a long road ahead to repair our democracy, John. That's why we're doubling down.

Can you give $25 to fuel our fight?

We must ensure that everyone can trust their vote gets counted. That's why we will continue our fight for systemic reform to protect voting rights — starting by establishing automatic voter registration and early voting for all, restoring the right to vote for people who were previously incarcerated, and ending voter suppression in every form. Help make this a reality by supporting the Brennan Center today.
