Folks,

This pandemic isn’t going away anytime soon, and American families, workers, and small businesses need relief — now. With over 200,000 new cases a day and critical relief measures set to expire at the end of the month, it’s time for my colleagues in Congress to step up and take action.

States need funds to pay first responders, teachers, and more. Hospitals need resources to buy vaccines, testing kits, and equipment. Small businesses need assistance to pay their bills and help their employees put food on the table. Renters need a moratorium on evictions and utility shutoffs.

If you agree, join me in calling for Congress to do better. Sign the petition to demand a comprehensive and compassionate COVID-19 relief package:

This crisis is far from over. And while I am grateful that President-Elect Biden has put together a team that will lead with facts, science, and data to help stem the virus, we simply cannot wait until Inauguration Day to begin moving in the right direction.

Every single day, more Americans are becoming infected. More people are losing their jobs. More small businesses are closing their doors for good. More families and struggling to pay rent and put food on the table. More kids are missing out on their education.

The last COVID-19 relief package was passed in March. It is downright disgraceful that in the face of one of the biggest challenges we have ever faced as a nation, our leaders have put partisan games ahead of the American people.

Folks, I didn’t run for office to play games. I ran so that families like mine would have an advocate speaking up for them when it mattered. And now is the time to use that voice.

Our voices are loudest when we speak as one. Sign your name next to mine to tell your members of Congress to pass a meaningful COVID-19 relief bill — now:

Thank you and be safe,

— Martin
