Friend --
At one point in my Marine Corps career, I had the opportunity to
work with an officer from South Korea.? One day he surprised me by
explaining that the people of North Korea are very happy because their
government-controlled media lies to them and tells them that they are
lucky and blessed.
North Korea is an extreme example of why it is important for
citizens to have access to information.
On a smaller scale, we are seeing the impact of limited information
in our country. Our mainstream media and tech giants are limiting the
information that is available to the American public. No one can deny
that this withholding of information impacted the recent Presidential
election.
In response to this censorship, thousands of conservative social
media users are leaving FaceBook and Twitter for MeWe and Parler,
respectively.?
If you made that shift to Parler or MeWe, please help me build a
community on those sites and give my pages a follow:
Parler: @PaulSchimpf4IL
MeWe: Paul
Schimpf
As always, I will remain active on Facebook at Paul
Schimpf for Illinois.?
In addition to that page, we have a closed, private volunteer group
on FaceBook where I ask for feedback on issues or request help in
sharing informaton.
If you would like to join the FaceBook volunteer group, please send
me a friend request and a direct message. Or you can reply to this
email and my team will reach out to you.
As always, thank you for reading. Stay healthy and safe.
Go Navy! Beat Army! (yes, that game is this weekend)
S/F,
Paul
