Dear Friend,

We’re thrilled to announce that Atlanta-based, multi-platinum rapper and producer 21 Savage is one of our 2019 Courageous Luminaries honorees. He’ll be introduced by Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, and she’ll highlight his story at our annual Courageous Luminaries event.

21 Savage was brazenly arrested earlier this year by ICE for overstaying his visa. His arrest and detention became a larger example of our broken immigration system. We’re honoring him for helping shine a light on this issue and for speaking out against the way he was aggressively targeted and detained.

We’re proud to also honor Somos Un Pueblo Unido for their work along the New Mexico border to support worker justice, as well as Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP for their partnership in a case challenging retaliatory immigration enforcement against farmworkers.

We hope you’ll join us on October 3 at 6 p.m. at The Ebell of Los Angeles. The event includes delicious food, drinks, and music from L.A.-based Cuban band SitaraSon — not to mention all our special guests.

Purchase tickets here. Can’t come to the event, but want to support us? You can become a sponsor of the event here.

We hope to see you on Oct. 3 to recognize the work of these activists fighting for immigrant justice.

Sincerely,

National Immigration Law Center & NILC Justice Fund
