Friend,
This
week, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (who is under FBI
investigation for bribery) filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court asking
them to overturn the will of the voters in Georgia, Michigan,
Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Then 18 other Republican Attorneys
General all signed onto an amicus brief supporting
this.
These 19 Attorneys General are asking the Supreme
Court for a coup. It's frivolous, irresponsible, dumb, and an
abuse of taxpayer dollars at a time when millions of Americans are
going hungry and unable to pay rent due to the out-of-control
pandemic.
Their constituents deserve better. They
deserve representatives who will put the full force of the government
and the law into ensuring a COVID-19 recovery that is fair and
just. They deserve real leaders who are focused on serving
the people who elected them, not political hacks who are just focused
on appeasing an unfit (soon-to-be ex) president.
I'm
going to keep fighting to ensure that we get the kind of
representation we deserve. If you support me in this fight, please
consider chipping in $50, $25, $5 or whatever you can
today.
I appreciate your support, Ted
P.S. The fact that Ted Cruz has
agreed to argue this case in the Supreme Court if they should take it
(spoiler alert: they won't) isn't even one of the top 5 craziest
things about this situation. That's saying a lot. We can have honest,
reliable leadership -- chip
in to help me fight for it.
