And you know what - I think that you Give AF about abortion access too.

But who’s got the time to be out there sending oh, I don’t know, 1,400 cloth handmade masks across the country to clinic defenders and escorts, because HUNDREDS of maskless assholes showed up every day to harass patients at clinics, putting everyone at risk for Covid??? Abortion Access Front!

What about sending 34 clinics a proper meal, or some locally sourced baked goods, to give them a respite from having to leave the clinic and walk through the gauntlet of aforementioned jerks to grab their lunch??? Why, that’s us again - Abortion Access Front!

After years of doing this work, I cannot stress enough how important our work of providing moral support is to abortion providers and their volunteer patient escort teams.

We started doing this work because frankly - no one else was doing it. Now, after five years, we have built an incredible support network that is growing every day.

Validating an abortion provider with words of thanks and acts of kindness makes a HUGE difference in the morale of these folks. It reminds them that in a world which day in and day out, has them experiencing verbal abuse, from protestors and politicians, that AAF and our squad of support are ALWAYS there loudly, and proudly reminding them they are respected, valued and loved.

It is what gets me up every day.

I am proud that every clinic has our number and knows they can call us anytime for help.

Whether it’s for a simple pep talk of reassurance, a cupcake delivery to cheer up staff or for an emergency rally of supportive bodies if protestors descend up a clinic -

We. Show. Up.

We have all used these clinics, I am who I am because of these clinics. I can’t imagine not giving back to them for giving me so much. My dignity when I needed an abortion, a shoulder when I was scared, and most important, a path to pursue my dreams.
