John,
It’s Statehood Day in Indiana!
Today, in 1816, President James Madison officially admitted Indiana into the United States of America — making Hoosier history and starting us on the incredible journey that got us to where we are today. We’ve come a long way since then, and we’re proud of the progress we’ve made as a state. But we’re not done yet — we’re not even close.
The next chapter in our state’s history has yet to be written, but we’re working hard to make it the best one yet. That’s why Governor Holcomb laid out his ambitious agenda of building One Indiana for All, and that’s why it was endorsed resoundingly by Hoosiers at the ballot box on Election Day.
If you share our hope and optimism for the bright future of Indiana, please join us in wishing our state a happy 204th birthday below. Here’s to another 204 great years!
Best,
Holcomb Crew
