El Paso. Dayton. Odessa. Gilroy. Virginia Beach. While every one of these tragedies occurred, commonsense gun legislation – passed by the House in February – has sat on Mitch McConnell's desk, waiting to be called for a vote.
This is unacceptable, John. The majority of Americans – including gun owners – support universal background checks, and this legislation would close dangerous loopholes and require background checks on ALL gun purchases. There is no reason for the Senate to delay passing this lifesaving legislation – yet there hasn't even been a debate.
