Mercy Community Church members

Dear John,

Martin is a volunteer with Mercy Community Church in Atlanta, helping people experiencing homelessness to access shelter and services. He realized that many of the people he was working with lack the ID they need in order to obtain housing, a good job, and benefits.

When Martin went online to see what organizations might provide a solution, he found VoteRiders at the top of the list. When we talked about the homeless people Martin and his church were serving, Martin also spoke passionately about the importance of making sure they are prepared to vote.

“Often people I meet feel like they’ve been forgotten by society, and helping them be able to vote is an important way for them to feel connected to the larger community.”

With VoteRiders’ advice and assistance, Martin is assisting these Georgians to secure the IDs they need to vote as well as improve their lives in many other vital ways.

This Holiday Season, your gift to VoteRiders means that we can provide resources and support to more partner organizations like Martin’s church, and ultimately help more of the 820,000 voting-eligible Georgia residents who lack current government-issued photo ID.

Our Georgia Voter ID Coalition already includes 63 organizations and faith institutions across the state, and with your support we can connect with more grassroots partners in time to make a difference in the Georgia Runoff Elections on January 5, 2021.

We deeply appreciate your continued engagement and support!
