Dear John,

We know you must be busy in the run-up to Christmas, but we wanted to share some alternative ways you can help us raise money as we support communities coming together for mental health [[link removed]], without even dipping into your pockets:

No office Christmas party this year? You could become a 'Xmas Party Hero' by asking your employer to donate the budget they'd usually spend on a party to Health Poverty Action's mental health appeal. Become a Xmas Party Hero [[link removed]]

2. The Easy Fundraising website application raises money at no cost to you while you do your Christmas shop online. Participating retailers include holiday favourites, from John Lewis and ASOS to M&S and Argos. Just select Health Poverty Action as your chosen charity and it'll do the rest!

3. Host a curry night on Zoom with our partner charity, Find Your Feet, and ask friends and family to donate what they would have spent on a meal out towards our mental health appeal instead.

Any support can help make a real difference to communities' mental health. For example, the cost of each £20 staff Christmas meal would be enough to pay for a training manual on mental health for a rural nurse in Zimbabwe – training we know changes lives for the better.

Best wishes,

Sarah Cowen-Rivers, Communications Manager
