Hello, Friends
This has been a dramatic, busy, and frequently contentious week, as the House Judiciary Committee under Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) ratcheted up its “impeachment-but-not-really” charade.
Instead of trying to get real answers from people like James Comey and Andrew McCabe, and pursuing meaningful oversight and intelligence reform, this week, House Democrats brought in Corey Lewandowski, for no other reason than making a spectacle.
Democrats don’t really know whether or not they’re moving ahead with impeachment or not. Speaker Pelosi and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler are at odds, and the rift between them is widening. Chairman Nadler has said that the Committee is moving ahead with impeachment proceedings. Speaker Pelosi and Democrat Leader Steny Hoyer have vehemently disagreed. So which is it? Nobody seems to know.
The American public deserves to know what the Democrats are doing the problem is, they don’t know what they’re doing, either. House Democrats have launched a fake impeachment investigation that the American people don’t understand and that they can’t explain! Watch my remarks at the hearing here:

What we’re seeing is a true fissure in the Democrat Party. If you watch what the liberal Democrat mob is doing in Washington, D.C., it is demoralizing. Americans of both parties just want to see Congress get back to work, and stop wasting their time and money. I discussed this on Hannity on Wednesday evening:

The bottom line is this: the Democrats are squandering precious time on faux impeachment proceedings while they could be pursuing bipartisan priorities: creating jobs, reforming our immigration laws, fixing our healthcare system, and putting more money in Americans’ pockets.
Rev. Al Sharpton Testifies
On Thursday, the Judiciary Committee held a hearing on “policing practices.” Inexplicably, one of the witnesses was none other than Al Sharpton, a man who has spent years uttering horrific anti-Semitic statements some of which led to riots and violently anti-police remarks, including “kill the pigs.” His presence at that hearing was an insult to those who wear the badge. I pressed him on some of his past statements, which you can see here.

Constitution Day
Tuesday was Constitution Day. Each year, we should reflect on the fact that this document has withstood the test of time and proclivities of man. This unprecedented founding document has made America the greatest country on earth.

On the House Floor
On the House floor this week, Congress voted on legislation that reauthorizes transportation for veterans in rural areas to go to VA facilities. I was happy to see that this much-needed bill passed 4171, showing that bipartisanship still exists, and that Congress can still occasionally work together on important priorities.
Speaking of bipartisanship, on Friday, I was proud to vote in support of H.R. 1423, the Forced Arbitration Injustice Repeal Act. Forced arbitration is a system that has unfairly denied millions of Americans a right to a trial by a jury of their peers, forcing them instead into shady and silent ‘arbitration proceedings.’
While repealing forced arbitration is commonly known as a Democrat position, I completely disagree the right to a trial is stated multiple times in the Constitution, and I think repealing forced arbitration is a true “America First” priority. I spoke in defense of this bill in the Judiciary Committee last week. I was the only Republican who supported this bill in committee, but I hope others will see that this bill is constitutional, conservative, and long overdue. Watch my remarks here:

We also passed completely bipartisan legislation to award Congressional Gold Medals to those who served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.
Finally, we voted on a Continuing Resolution to continue funding the government until November 21. I voted no, just as I have on all previous Continuing Resolutions. Instead of fulfilling our Constitutional obligations to fund the government using a budget resolution, Congressional leaders keep trying to put a band-aid on a much larger problem.
Congress must improve its budget and appropriations processes, stop kicking the can down the road, and make these endless strings of continuing resolutions a thing of the past.

DeSantis Delivering Again!
On Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced a plan to bring financial technology companies to Florida. Governor DeSantis promised he would deliver more jobs and increased investment to our state. Now he’s delivering on that promise. PJ Adams Expansion
On Wednesday, Okaloosa County broke ground on the PJ Adams bypass in Crestview. As I’ve said in the past, this project will enhance our military’s readiness in this area by reducing traffic congestion for our military and civilians alike. This is a great step towards enhancing Northwest Florida’s military mission!
