John,
Former U.N. Ambassador and gun safety champion Susan Rice will be appointed as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council (DPC)— an essential role in prioritizing gun violence prevention in the White House.
We know that gun violence is a complex issue that must be addressed from all angles, and Rice would bring strong policy expertise to this role. Rice is a seasoned leader in the fight for human rights and has an extensive record of defending the health and safety of all Americans. She has a long history of fighting white supremacy and systemic racism, and she has denounced the NRA’s corrupt influence on Congress: it is clear that Rice understands that white supremacy and the NRA have deadly implications in our country.

Susan Rice will implement the domestic policy priorities of the Biden-Harris Administration — including what is the strongest and most comprehensive gun violence prevention agenda ever proposed by an incoming administration. We know that she will be a critical partner in our fight to end the American gun violence epidemic once and for all.

Brady is ready to work with Susan Rice and the Biden-Harris Administration to take action on gun violence starting on Day One. Please, will you make a donation to fund our life-saving work and ensure that we are ready to immediately take action in 2021 and strengthen the Brady Background Checks and increase gun industry accountability? >>
