No Kid Hungry Takes to the Airwaves for Hungry Kids
Your support means the world to kids in need. But the sad truth is, too many people don't know the gravity of the hunger crisis now gripping the nation.
Giving Tuesday 2020 kicked off the season of compassion and generosity. With help from Giving Tuesday partner Citi, No Kid Hungry's work was featured on national television earlier this month. Here are three of our favorites:
Watch Executive Chair Billy Shore and superstar baker Duff Goldman on MSNBC talk about the ways in which schools managed to get food to hungry kids, whether they were in school or at home.
The Today Show profiled one Georgia community, where, with help from No Kid Hungry, school buses were used to deliver 7,000 meals every day while schools were closed.
Check in with longtime No Kid Hungry friend and baker Michael Platt on Good Morning America: this 15-year old is encouraging a'12 Tuesdays of Giving' movement among other youth to bring food to kids in need.
And to keep the giving going, Citi will be donating $.10 to No Kid Hungry up to $1 Million for each online purchase you make using a Citi credit card during the month of December. This is another great way to help hungry kids!
