As the Green Party’s 2020 nominee for president, I had the privilege of meeting Green candidates, organizers and supporters all over this country. Those road trips were long and many, and they weren’t always easy. But I wouldn’t trade anything for that opportunity to meet the Greens who are the lifeblood of this party where they live and work, to learn about the challenges they face on the ground.



And while those Greens provided me with endless encouragement and inspiration, I must report to you now the challenges they face are immense.Our Greens out there need help:training, advice, mentorship, materials and other resources.



That’s why I am asking you to become a Green Party Monthly Sustainer today. Last week, our 2020 Year End Monthly Sustainers Drive kicked off to a great start with 32 new Monthly Sustainers. But we can't meet our goal of 100 new Monthly Sustainers before the end of December without more Greens like you stepping up. <[link removed]>



Many local or even state Green Party leaders are very new and have received little assistance. And we must face that our mission — uprooting one of the most entrenched, oligarchic power structures on the planet — is staggeringly complex and difficult.



We must set up our organizers, candidates and elected officials for success by providing them with the best possible assistance. That requires time, expertise and raw materials. It requires staff and trainers and researchers. You can help fund this essential work. I have dedicated my life to working in peoples’ movements. I have witnessed, first-hand, how the most successful of these movements were committed to funding themselves, from their own members and communities. It was the only way they could build the power needed to win while maintaining their political courage and integrity.
