Don't discount our future, Trader Joe's

Friend,

Trader Joe's "sustainability report" is just a measly blog post. It doesn't mention anything about Trader Joe’s history of leaking climate super-pollutant gases or what it is doing about child labor in its chocolate.

I know what you’re thinking. Trader Joe’s? Many people love Trader Joe's and think of it as a friendly neighborhood market - that's why it’s so surprising that they are a laggard when it comes to people and the planet.

In order to address big problems, like over one million child laborers in cocoa or the devastating effects of the climate crisis, we need ALL companies to address their social and environmental impacts and be transparent about what they are doing.

Most companies are becoming MORE transparent, but Trader Joe’s is sharing next to no information about its sourcing and operations with the public. Consumers, workers, and the planet deserve more!

That's why we're teaming up with our allies at the Environmental Investigation Agency to hold Trader Joe's accountable, and we need you to join us.

Tell Trader Joe’s – don’t discount our future. TJ’s must step it up on climate and labor justice today!

Thank you for all that you do,
