I wanted to follow up about the fundraising freeze starting tomorrow night.

Many people are not aware of this restriction and its impact on our campaign. It’s not new but it’s important that we ensure transparency and accountability in Washington state.

Beginning on December 12th, Washington state law requires a mandatory “freeze” on all fundraising for statewide elected officials for as long as the legislature is in session. If you send a check, we send it back to you. We turn off our donation page. No contributions — no exceptions.

It’s important that we fundraise when we can so that my campaign has the resources to respond to attacks when they inevitably come. Can you make a contribution towards our pre-freeze goal to raise $25,000 before we turn off our ActBlue page at midnight tomorrow?

I rely on grassroots donations of $5, $10 or $20 at a time. I do not accept donations from large corporations. Without maximum donations from corporations, it takes us longer to raise the dollars we need, so we start early.

Can I count on your support before the fundraising freeze goes into effect at midnight tomorrow?

Thank you,
Bob
