Team,

Today is International Human Rights Day -- the anniversary of the adoption of a universal set of human rights by the United Nations.

I would like to take this moment to acknowledge a human rights abuse going on right here at home -- the treatment of undocumented families and children at the border.

With a new administration taking charge, we have a chance to undo some of the damage. Sign on to my petition now to demand an end to Trump-era immigration policies, including child separation and expedited deportations, now! [[link removed]]

I believe America must be true to its principles and treat all immigrants with respect -- regardless of status. That's why I've stood up for DREAMers, demanded an end to the cruel child separation policy, and introduced the Lady Liberty Act to require the U.S. to admit 110,000 refugees annually.

But we need far more comprehensive reform, especially after the last few years. So, please join me today in voicing your support for compassionate immigration reform by signing on NOW! [[link removed]]

This International Human Rights Day, let's strive to once again be a global leader in protecting human rights. Thanks so much for your support on this critical issue!
