Hi friend,

2020 is just around the corner. We’re committed to preparing a slate of organizers who reflect the vibracy and diversity of our democracy — people of color, queer and trans folks, immigrants, and the working class — to lead state and national campaigns.

Are you someone who’s managed campaigns or played a key staff role and are looking to hone your skills into a leadership position? Apply to Advanced Campaign Management School. [link removed]

Advanced Campaign Management School (ACMS) is a signature program of re:power academy: an all-encompassing offering that incorporates grassroots organizing, technology, and campaign management. ACMS is an intensive five-day, in-person training for experienced leaders who will be playing a key management role in state or national-level electoral races.

You’ll spend a week learning from leading campaigners and operatives in the field about campaign strategy, management, and tactics, all grounded in a framework of inclusive politics. For us, that means we’ll apply a lens of race, class, and gender to all aspects of campaign management and strategy because it’s a part of how we can run and win grassroots campaigns. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll learn:

Campaign Planning and Strategy
-- Articulate the roles and importance of the core components of a campaign, as well as the cross collaboration opportunities: field, communications and digital, fundraising, and team management

Leadership and Management
-- Understand leadership and communication styles through a race, gender and class lens
Effectively and creatively hire and manage campaign staff

Base-Building and Communications/Digital
-- Understand that engaging authentically with your base/community is essential to building power and winning campaigns
