Stacey Abrams transformed Georgia’s electorate this year, and in doing so, she demonstrated the immense power women hold to disrupt ‘business as usual’ and bring people from all walks of life together behind a common desire for change.
After massive voter suppression in Georgia during the 2018 elections, Stacey Abrams refused to concede, instead acknowledging the need to change a system that silenced the voices of Black and Brown Americans to keep a few white men in power. Since then, she worked to enfranchise hundreds of thousands of Americans, fight voter suppression laws, and protect every vote in Georgia with her project Fair Fight.
Abrams is now leading the Democratic fight to take back the Senate in January and expand civic engagement in our political system. She’s changing the rules of the game to remind us that every voice matters, and that “when we fight, we win.”
