We’ve lost some strong and competitive candidates since Hickenlooper decided to join the U.S. Senate race here in Colorado. However, their progressive values and positions remain relevant—especially here at the Lorena Garcia campaign, where we’re committed to challenging the status quo.

The status quo isn't prepared to address the climate crisis. The status quo isn't prepared to take on gun reform and safety. The status quo isn't prepared to stand up for trans rights and defend against all forms of discrimination. If they were, then we'd be talking about these issues in the past tense.

Will you pitch in $3.50 today to usher in a new wave of leadership that will take on the status quo?

The status quo also permits outside interference from groups like the DSCC, which is trying to push progressive, non-establishment candidates like me to drop out so Hickenlooper can run unopposed. 

We want a unified party, but not at the expense of disenfranchising more voters who feel this whole process is rigged. I plan to bring a true progressive agenda to D.C., not toe the party line.

But first, we need to meet our fundraising goal of $6,541 by the Sept. 30 FEC deadline. Those numbers will be a deciding factor in whether people support our campaign.
