John,

Today, I have the honor and pleasure to announce that Lt. Governor Lynn Rogers will serve as the 41st State Treasurer of Kansas, succeeding Treasurer Jake LaTurner as he prepares to represent Kansas' Second District in Congress.

When I chose Lynn to be my running mate, I knew he would bring integrity and compassion to the Lt. Governor's office -- and I was right.

For those of you who don't know, Lynn's professional background is in finance, which makes him eminently qualified for this position. He spent 30 years traveling the state as an ag banker and before that, he spent five years working for CitiBank in Chicago. But his background in finance is only part of the reason I know Lynn will make an exceptional state treasurer.

Lynn is dedicated to public service. He's a hard worker. And most importantly, he cares deeply about creating a better life for all Kansans. I know once he assumes his new role, Lynn will promote and protect the financial interest of Kansans, he will resurrect programs in the treasurer's office, and he will ensure the state treasurer's office is consumer-friendly, transparent, and accountable.

Join me in wishing Lynn all the best in his new role. I will miss working with him in the governor's office, but I know he will thrive in this new role. Join me in thanking Lynn for his service and wish him the best of luck in this new role by signing his thank you card today.
