On International Human Rights Day, join us on our mission to save asylum

Dear Friend,

This International Human Rights Day, we’re on a mission to save asylum. The Trump administration just came out with a rule that will gut the asylum system in 30 days. This rule cannot simply be reversed by a Biden administration. We must work together to stop it in its tracks. In fact, Immigration Equality and Lambda Legal already have a plan to challenge the ban in court.

This summer, thousands of you submitted comments challenging the rule. We were overwhelmed by the support. But to make that really count, we need to follow through. Will you donate today so we can block the rule from going into effect? It will require expert legal advocacy and a broad base of supporters like you.

Chip in today with a gift and it will be matched 100% so that—
$1,000 = $2000 ([link removed])
$500 = $1000 ([link removed])
$250 = $500 ([link removed])
$100 = $200 ([link removed])
$50 = $100 ([link removed])
$25 = $50 ([link removed])

Despite the fact that under U.S. and international law, we must safeguard refugees seeking humanitarian protection, the current administration is doing everything it can to entrench anti-immigrant policies in its final days. If they are successful, it could mean deporting hundreds or thousands of asylum seekers who escaped harm or death in their countries simply for being queer, trans, or HIV-positive.

Attend our Impact Update next Thursday, December 17th, to learn more about the asylum rule and what Immigration Equality is doing to fight it. RSVP here. ([link removed])
