Meet UAF’s New Director of Programs, Otibho Obianwu!
Dear John,

We have some exciting news to share with you!

UAF is thrilled to introduce our new Director of Programs, Otibho Obianwu. We hope that you will join us in welcoming Otibho and know that you will enjoy getting to know her, her work, and her impact for and with our communities and movements.
"I feel very fortunate to be joining a formidable feminist institution at a pivotal time for women, trans, and non-binary activists, our movements and communities. I am eager to contribute to our work supporting activists to co-create a world that is equitable and just using approaches that are grounded in feminist values, principles and practices. I am truly looking forward to collaborating with my incredible colleagues, our sister funds and partners to ensure that UAF continues to meet this transformative moment with the same courage, creativity, tenacity and intersectionality that has been demonstrated by the activists we serve throughout this trying year."
– Otibho Obianwu, UAF’s Director of Programs
Otibho brings her rich lived experience and deep passion for and commitment to justice, equity, health and well-being, and movement building, to resourcing social justice movements. With extensive experience advocating for the rights of women, adolescents and young people, and LGBTQI persons, we know she is a great addition in helping to carry out UAF’s mission. Otibho will provide management and oversight to the programmatic work at UAF including: rapid response grantmaking; the advisory network; international advocacy; learning & monitoring.

As UAF continues to evolve and grow, we are excited to bring in new ideas and perspectives to contribute to our work and vision. Otibho’s understanding and deep commitment to feminisms, social justice, and human rights will be invaluable additions to our efforts. You can learn more about Otibho here.

Please join me in welcoming Otibho to the UAF family.
My warmest,
Shalini Eddens
