Dear WisDems supporter,

Last week, the Trump campaign tried 3 times to overturn the will of Wisconsin voters by putting bogus cases in front of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Their goal? Invalidate free and fair elections, and throw the election to Trump.

But it didn't work. By a 4-3 margin, the Supreme Court declined to hear Trump's cases. One of the court's conservative justices--Brian Hagedorn--joined with the 3 liberal justices to make this happen. Here's what he had to say:

"Once the door is opened to judicial invalidation of presidential election results, it will be awfully hard to close that door again. This is a dangerous path we are being asked to tread."

In his opinion, Hagedorn did what few on the right-wing have been willing to do: publicly speak the truth about Trump's post-election stunts.

They are dangerous, undemocratic, and un-American.

And Trump has most of the GOP going along with him. The Washington Post did a survey and 88% of Congressional Republicans refused to acknowledge the clear truth: that Joe Biden is the President-elect.

In fact, every single GOP Congress member from Wisconsin refused to acknowledge Biden's win.

Imagine this: Instead of the Wisconsin Supreme Court having 4 right-wing judges, it had 5. In that world, Trump's case likely would have been taken up and then we don't know what might have happened.

Thankfully, it didn't come to that.

Because of the year-round organizing program we're building at the WisDems, we won a crucial Wisconsin Supreme Court race last spring. It put Justice Jill Karofsky on the court, and tilted the balance away from Trump and his lies toward honesty and decency.

This win, like with everything else we do, was made possible by you. Your donations, your time, your energy, your enthusiasm.

The Wisconsin Democrats are a proudly people-powered state party. If we win, it's on all of us. If we lose, it's on all of us.

At this crucial moment in history, we can't afford any losses. Wisconsin remains on a knife's edge. Here are the facts:
Liberals are the minority on the State Supreme Court (3 out of 7 seats)

Democrats are the minority in the State Assembly and Senate

The GOP has gerrymandered the state beyond recognition
Despite all this, we won this year, because of you. A decisive victory that tipped the electoral college for Joe Biden. And we stopped the Republicans from winning a supermajority in the state legislature, thereby saving Governor Evers' veto.

Next year, this veto will be crucial in our fight to win fair maps in Wisconsin. If we can win fair maps, then we have a shot at winning back the state legislature. And if we do that, the state will be transformed.

Not to mention, beating Ron Johnson--the worst U.S. Senator in America--and re-electing Governor Evers.

All of that is coming up. Will you stand with us in these crucial fights in 2021 and 2022?
