Chanukah - Virtual Menorah Lighting

Chanukah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime festival of lights. At the heart of the festival is the nightly menorah lighting.

The menorah holds nine flames, one of which is the shamash (“attendant”), which is used to kindle the other eight lights that are lit one by one each evening.

This year's ceremony is a virtual event. You can watch it online.

This event will also contain some prerecorded content including an Illusionist show.

Pay a trip to Woodthorpe Grange and meet Woody the giant reindeer whose nose lights the way to the plant shop and a great selection of Christmas trees.

Christmas stalls will be selling crafts, gifts and some tasty Christmas treats to take away.

You can also take your pick from a range of many other Christmas plants and get some styling advice from the staff.

For example, Poinsettia (above) come in pale pink and that cyclamens look fantastic in flower arrangements, or as a centrepiece on the dinner table?.
