Jack,

This is what democracy looks like.

Today, I am proud to be joining the Climate Strike with young people here in New Mexico and around the world because something needs to change.

Not enough has been done to protect the world from our mistakes. We have just a decade left to alter the course of climate change, and still, the Senate is not acting.

The technology for clean, renewable energy is out there - and New Mexico's universities and labs are poised to be leaders in researching and developing it - and there are strong proposals for building an economy that works for the environment and for all of us. But Mitch McConnell and the climate change-denying Republicans refuse to do the right thing.

When I am in the Senate, I will be committed to putting our planet over partisan politics. But just like today's strike, it is going to take grassroots support to get me there.

Together, we can force action on climate change. Chip in to my campaign now to send me to the Senate to fight for our planet.

Here in New Mexico, we value our state's natural beauty, and all that this earth provides for us. That is why today we are calling for immediate action to save our planet from destruction.

I want a Congress that sets off the alarm on climate change, instead of ringing the bell of ignorance. One day of action is not enough to move our country in the right direction, but I know that when we stand up for our values, change is possible.

It's time to sound the alarm that climate change is real, and I'm ready to carry our voices to the Senate, are you with me?

Pitch in right now so I can go to the Senate and change the politics around climate change.

Let's go,

Maggie
