John,
Last week, a federal judge upheld the legality of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and mandated that the Trump administration begin accepting new applications.
This is huge, John.
DACA is a lifeline for more than 800,000 young people, including 17,300 Coloradans. But, DACA is only "deferred action," a temporary measure to allow certain undocumented immigrants, known as DREAMers, to live freely in the places they call home. DREAMers should not only have the right to work, live safely, and pay taxes in this country. All DREAMers deserve a real shot at the American dream and a pathway to citizenship.
This week marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) by the House. If you support undocumented young people and believe they should be on a path to citizenship, add your name now.
