Dear John,

“Our planet belongs to my daughter’s generation just as much as it belongs to mine.” - Shabnam Lotfi, WCV Board Member

Around the world, hundreds of thousands of people are taking to the streets today in a youth-led strike to demand decisive action on climate change and a rapid transition to clean energy. It’s unprecedented.
These young people know – like you and I – that the future of our planet is at stake, and without decisive actions from decision makers at all levels, they’ll be the ones left dealing with the worst impacts of climate change.
Your urgent gift – and impact for conservation – will be TRIPLED by a group of generous donors to help us keep fighting for clean energy in communities like yours across the state.
We owe it to our children and their children to keep up this fight.
Thanks to the support of conservation voters like you, we’ve already made major progress.
Kate Beaton, our Western Organizer and an Eau Claire city council member, helped craft and pass a resolution in Eau Claire making it the first municipality in Wisconsin to pledge carbon neutrality by 2050. And our Organizing and Political Director Seth Hoffmeister helped create a sustainability commission in Green Bay to help put the city on a path to 100 percent clean energy.
We couldn’t do our work to move Wisconsin to a clean energy economy without the support of conservation voters like you.
Can we count on you to chip in an urgent gift today that will be TRIPLED by a group of generous donors?
Thank you for taking a stand for Wisconsin’s future.

Kerry Schumann
Executive Director
Wisconsin Conservation Voters
P.S. As hundreds of thousands of people take a stand against climate change around the world today, our team is hard at work bringing clean energy to communities like yours in Wisconsin. Your generous gift – and impact for clean energy – will be tripled by a group of donors to help us keep fighting for a carbon-free future.
