Black Lives Global Network Foundation ([link removed] received hundreds of millions of dollars in donations but has passed on precious little to local Black Lives Matter chapters since 2013. The foundation operates as a "fiscally sponsored project" of another nonprofit, the Tides Center ([link removed] which allows the BLM group to "hide its revenues, assets, salaries, . . . and much more." Some political operatives in Washington, DC, believe that being in the opposition party automatically means better business. The Lincoln Project ([link removed] gurus, who billed themselves as "true" conservatives, decided to embrace that philosophy and spend tens of millions of donor-dollars fighting to defeat Donald Trump and elect Democrats in down-ballot races. Their effect on the presidential election is difficult to detect, but in the U.S. Senate races they targeted, they ran up an impressive 0-7 record. Our friend Walter Williams passed away on Wednesday. This great free-market economist and libertarian thinker served as the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University and also on Capital Research Center's Advisory Board.
