HAPPY HANUKKAH FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OF NEW MEXICO
The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce, marking the beginning of Hanukkah:
“The Republican Party and I wish our Jewish friends and Jewish Communities in New Mexico and around the world a happy Hanukkah. The 8-day-long Jewish Festival of Lights begins this evening. It commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem after a successful revolt and miraculous victory by the Jewish people over their oppressors more than 2,000 years ago. Hanukkah symbolizes peoples’ perseverance and courage in the face of adversity. We wish all of you a joyous holiday.”
