Dear John,

As coronavirus cases continue to rise, many of us are considering ways to keep ourselves and our communities safe, including cancelling events many of us hold dear like weddings and holiday gatherings.

Unfortunately, anti-abortion militants with Red Rose Rescue – a group that attempts to stop people from accessing abortion care by entering clinics and harassing patients until in at least some cases they are carried out by police – are refusing to take the same precautions to protect the health and safety of others.

On December 12, Red Rose Rescue is hosting an in-person conference in St. Louis, Missouri – which, as of November 30, was described as being in “crisis mode” due to the increasing number of coronavirus hospitalizations.

Traveling from all over the country in the middle of a pandemic to host an in-person conference – especially in a city that is on the verge of running out of hospital beds due to the virus – is incredibly reckless. [1]

This conference is just another reminder that Big ‘Pro-Life’ will do anything to control people who can become pregnant – including put their lives at risk.
