Help Farm Sanctuary rescue and protect farm animals

Dear John,
Before she came to Farm Sanctuary, Nancy cow lived on a hobby farm where her “owners” raised and showed Ayrshire cows—purporting pride in their prize-winning bovines.
In reality, Nancy and 18 other cows spent most of their time locked in a dark and filthy barn packed with feces so high that some of the calves had drowned in their own waste. Fortunately, local authorities removed all of the animals and asked if we could give Nancy a forever home at our New York shelter. Thankfully we had the space to say “Yes”!
We provided Nancy with a second chance at the life she deserved. A few months after her arrival, she gave birth to a beautiful calf, Charlie, in a warm, clean barn. Unlike in a factory farm, where Charlie would have been torn away from Nancy at a young age, at Farm Sanctuary mother and son get to spend every day of their lives happily by each other’s side.
Nancy and Charlie might not be alive today without friends like you, John. Will you share your love with farm animals in need of rescue and protection this holiday season by joining Farm Sanctuary with a special year-end gift today?
When you become a Farm Sanctuary member, you will receive exclusive benefits including a free subscription to our member magazine, opportunities to sign petitions and speak out for farm animals, special alerts with breaking news about legislation regarding farm animals, updates on urgent rescues, and more.

Unlike America’s farming industry—which treats the animals it exploits as mere commodities—Farm Sanctuary treats the cows, pigs, goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and other animals we rescue as the unique and amazing individuals they are. And we do everything we can to make up for the cruelty and neglect they have suffered with a lifetime of love, compassion, and understanding.
But we are only able to take on this responsibility—and the significant costs that come with it—because of kindhearted friends like you.
Please give what you can to Farm Sanctuary today to help us make sure that more animals like Nancy and Charlie can live happy, healthy lives in our care.
In addition to providing a lifetime of peace and comfort for our shelter residents, your year-end gift will also touch the lives of farm animals across the country.
Your support will help us find homes for abused, neglected, and previously unwanted farm animals through our Farm Animal Adoption Network. You’ll help us grow our community of compassion by expanding our free humane education programs, including online opportunities. And you’ll help us speak out for better conditions for the billions of animals being exploited by our current agricultural system.
If you love farm animals, there is no more meaningful gift you can give this holiday season than a generous contribution to Farm Sanctuary.
Thank you for helping Farm Sanctuary rescue and care for farm animals like Nancy and Charlie. Together, we can keep fighting for every farm animal to receive the love, dignity, and compassion they deserve.
Yours for farm animals,
